Aydonote is built with privacy at its core. We offer two encryption modes so you can choose your preferred balance of features and privacy.
Your Encryption Choices
Standard Encryption
Your notes are encrypted at rest and in transit. This mode enables full-text search and server-side features. We can technically access your data, but only do so for essential service operations or if required by law.
Zero-Knowledge Encryption
Your notes are encrypted with a key only you possess. We mathematically cannot read your content — not our team, not anyone. Trade-off: no server-side search.
Data We Collect
- •Account Info: Email address and hashed password for authentication.
- •Note Content: Your shards and cores, encrypted according to your chosen mode.
- •Usage Data: Basic analytics like login times to improve the service.
- •Payment Info: Processed securely by Stripe. We never see your full card number.
How We Use Your Data
- •To provide and maintain the Aydonote service
- •To process payments and manage subscriptions
- •To send essential service communications
- •To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns
Data Retention
Your data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete all your notes, cores, and personal information within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer if required for legal compliance.
Third-Party Services
